Because of the strap connection the unsprung weight is actually small.

Mr. Lovejoy has been working on a set of aluminum shock absorbers of which he has sent you samples.

Although these are of racing-car type it would probably require little change to adapt them to ordinary passenger car requirements.

Mr. Crittenden would welcome your suggestions in this matter.
