so as to save time and to enable them to be immediately applied as soon as Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} passes a scheme as satisfactory.

3. Modification and finishing off of 15 cars.

Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} promised that each of the 15 cars which are being returned to the Works for modification and final testing will be completed in 10 days after receipt of the cars at Derby.

4. Agents' Criticisms.

Brakes. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} read the report of Mr. Pass on the trial run which he had in a Bentley car. The suggestion that the brake drums should be made to look larger was discussed and the conclusion was come to that the brakes as now fitted are effective and durable and there is no necessity for them to be enlarged.
Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} pointed out that the Bentley is fitted with a servo and the cars which Mr. Pass evidently had in mind and with which he is making comparison have no servo and require brakes of larger diameter.

Exhaust Note. Mr. Pass' suggestion that the exhaust note with the cutout open should be made deeper and more pleasing and not so 'tinny' or 'thin', was referred to.
Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} pointed out that the cutout on the car tried by Mr. Pass is not of standard design and the latest model has a much more satisfactory note.

Instrument Panel. The suggestion that the instrument panel should be made more 'de luxe' was discussed, and E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} said he thought that probably a polished beading to the panel instead of a black beading would remove this criticism. He said that if too much bright plating is used on the instrument patch there is a danger of losing the dignity of appearance.

Radiator. The suggestion to make the radiator narrower is not a practical one and cannot be done. With the new shutters fitted it was thought that Mr. Pass would be perfectly satisfied with the front appearance - the shutters will certainly be a very high-class job.

Higher class of Steering Wheel. Not discussed.
