Front Springs. It is considered that to obtain a sufficient degree of flexibility, the springs should touch the buffers under some circumstances of speed and roughness of road. Whether the present conditions are reasonable or not cannot be stated without any actual test. I will make a special note to watch this point.

Servo and Servo Gears. Servo jagger. This is most objectionable. It has occurred in a few instances on the 40/50 h.p. chassis, but is not general. It may be peculiar to this particular car, but the cause should be found and eliminated.

Servo rattle. This is a very bad feature in this particular car, and could not be accepted as a reasonable standard in any car, for delivery to an owner.

Starter Motor. The cause of the non-engagement of starter pinion on first application was needs to be discovered.

Propellor Shaft. We have had continuous trouble with the lubricator at the rear of the propellor shaft fouling the floorboards on maximum bump. This has been reported to "W" on several occasions. Some alteration in design is necessary so that this cannot possibly take place. It is noted that action is being taken regarding the propellor shaft locking plate fouling the rear brake foot equalising shaft.

Exhaust. It would not seem that there is any improvement regarding the boom from the exhaust. This is a very noticeable feature of all 20 h.p. chassis, and its considered that improvement is desirable.

Front Wings. The front stays of the wings are not strong enough.

Petrol and Oil Consumption. These both appear to be very high, even considering the high average speed at which the test has been conducted.

CWB.
