X4331 CHASSIS - RADIATORS. ------------------- I have discussed with Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, a proposal put forward by Captain Stringer in regard to Radiators. Captain Stringer was with the Air Ministry on the question of radiator tube production, and kept himself closely in touch with all the Farnborough experiments, and his opinion is, that an 8 mm. tube expanded at the ends to 9 1/4 mm. is the best all round proposition for our car. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, agrees that he would like to have two sets of radiator tubes ordered to enable us to produce two experimental radiators of the proportions suggested by Captain Stringer. Will you therefore order 12,000 radiator tubes, 4 3/4" overall length, 8 mm, body width, ends expanded to 9 1/4 mm, thickness of tube .008". These tubes when received, should be handed over to the experimental department. MADE AT CROXLEY BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
