Dear Mr Rowbotham,

I should like to refer to my interviews with you last week, when you were kind enough to devote so much time to examining some of the new projects of the S.U.Co. I should like to refer particularly to our proposals for direct injection, and perhaps I should say at this juncture that I am writing at Mr. Skinner's suggestion. Kent and myself have been working on this proposition for about eighteen months now, and we feel that the time has now arrived, and that our present design is sufficiently advanced, to justify our starting on some serious experimental work.
