-2- Rear Shock Damper Links. We are going to use j silentbloc links for 'A' series B.V. and are going to run these (once again) on the bump. We are also working on large Delco type rubbers and conical rubbers on the bump chassis. Front Suspension Pieces. We have not seen the latest ones but Kennington will chase them up. They will have to be bumped. Oiling Scheme for Front. Draper is drawing one and it will be run on the bump. There is no trouble anticipated. Rear Rebound Strap. Kennington will mock up Draper's scheme of 5" rebound stop. No trouble is anticipated here: jacking tests should be made. Spring Supplies - B.V. All the necessary springs are ordered. Front Bump Buffers. These are too hard and more pointed rubbers should be ordered and tried: also less metal support. Wilks' scheme of rubber in the metal cups should be tried. Tension Shackles. Ride tests are necessary on 7.B.V. on Buxton Road. The present rig investigation should be continued, and report drafted. Noise tests - Clapham. When the new yokes are fitted, further noise tests on the bump drums are necessary. Mr. Wilks has given us some new ideas on body noise which are very useful. He says the best way to make noise inside a body is to rig up a large electric bell and make the hammer hit a tyre. By this means a loud noise is produced in the car by a natural means, and modifications to suspension and mounting may be made. Clapham could make a suitable bell ready for any tests. Contd. | ||
