To:- Area II. AEC/D/AE.28.40. NOTES OF CONFERENCE HELD ON MONDAY, MARCH 11th. Present : Commander C. BURSSON. Major FRIESTLEY. Mr. GIMSON. L.V... Mr. ARCHER. Mr. ELWORTHY. Mr. WOODVINE. 1. Contract. It was agreed that the contract for 86 guns which had been sent to Rolls Royce would be cancelled, and that these 86 would become part of the order for 500. R.R.L. agreed to take the order for 500. 2. Production. After some discussion it was agreed that the target for the M.T.C. of production would be 7 per week. With this figure it was stated by Rolls Royce that existing methods would continue to be used. 3. Spares. It was agreed that a schedule would be dealt with by R.T.C. 4. Gauges. It was agreed that one set of gauges would be produced. 5. Spares. Commander Bursson said that it was usual to provide spares on the rate of one set of spares for six guns. It was agreed that a list of spares necessary would be forwarded to the Inspector of Naval Ordnance. - Continued - | ||
