Original memo sent to Sr 1245. also 404. To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}o/N.12.8.38. re Vanvooren Bentley - Paris Trials. We give below the comparisons of rear seat room between the Paris Trials Bentley - Park Ward standard Bentley, 7.B.5. and 9.B.5. Paris Std. 7.B.5. 9.B.5. Trials. Ben. Rear Cushion width. 45.250 44.000 47.000 47.000 Width of body at elbow at rear seat. 53.300 52.500 52.500 53.000 Although the front of the rear cushion on the Vanvooren body is greater than on the standard body, the rear cannot be as it is controlled by the rear track (56.000). It will be seen that the Paris car scores in all cases in elbow width with the exception of the 3rd. B.III - 9.B.5. which it equals approximately. The B.III cars score on cushion width due to the wider track. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
