(2) (6) Regarding the ironing of the rear pillar we shew herewith a sketch of our suggestion. A thin sheet metal piece about .048 thick is attached to the heel board and has a flange turned up attached to the wheel arch and the front flange also turned up to retain the rear cushions, and this flange is attached to the rear pillar. All this will be seen in the sketch. (7) Concerning the scuttle and dash separation, it is thought that we would like to separate the scuttle and dash on this car, and shew herewith a sketch of how we think it should be done. To prevent the scuttle parallelogramming a sheet metal plate is screwed to the scuttle armature at the dash. An aluminium trough to catch the water will be necessary. This should be provided by you. We enclose herewith our standard specification which we wish you to work to, containing most of the points we have enumerated, and several other features of interest. We shall now inform our Sales Department that the technical work concerning this car is completed, and as far as we are concerned the work can go ahead immediately you receive their order. We wish to thank you for your unlimited patience and help given to us, in our endeavour to make this car the success which we hope it will be. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
