To Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Copy Ra/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} 1044 COTAL BOX. It seems to me that we are missing an opportunity of running a Cotal box on one of our cars during the war, to establish its re-liability and performance, under our sort of test conditions. Could we fit one of these boxes to the Ripple, which at present is really serving no useful purpose in being run? If the box is not up to the 3 1/2 litres, I suggest sleeving the Ripple engine and making it 75 mm. bore. I would fit the Myth brake operation to this car, since we should no longer have a servo.
