To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} From Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1044 RUNNING OF EXPERIMENTAL CARS. 9.B.V. - London and back Friday, 15th August. 6 gallons of petrol went into this car. The near side front door is beginning to rattle badly. 4.B.50 - Visit to Luton, 18th August. 4 gallons of petrol were added to this car. Its detonation is above the average. The rear springs squeak, the brakes fade and the servo groans. I think aluminium brake drums should be fitted to this car as soon as possible. The suspension seems unnecessarily hard in the soft position. I think this is mainly due to insufficient leak on the front shock absorbers. Perhaps Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Clm{D. D. Clapham} can investigate the matter. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
