DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/G.8.4.38. LES BENTLEY 50. FRONT BUMPER AND TOWN DRIVING LAMPS. We send herewith PD.143 showing the B.50 front bumper, and the support for the town driving lamps. The bumper is that shewn on FB.3628, but is modified to shew the latest Wilmot Breedon ends. The bumper bracket and starting handle are those shewn on PD.95 for B.3. It is intended to use this front bumper on both B.3 and B.50. The town driving or pass lights are Lucas L.D.140 with dip and twist reflectors. The headlamps are R.100, fixed beam or Q.BD.{Mr Berend}167, SED.E.5 with fixed beam. The foot switch changes over from head to town driving, and a separate switch on the instrument board dips the latter. We have to set out a jack for this car. The head will have to be high enough to clear the lamp. The existing jack on B.3 appears to do this, but the lift may require increasing. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
