Leaks from the Rear Axle into the Brake Drum. We have taken the matter up with Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} and shown him the modifications which we have made to the central axle housing to improve the trouble, and he is issuing a scheme. In the meantime there is R.Sch.3785 which does prevent the oil which has escaped from the central axle casing from getting on to the lining itself. We understand that this is coming on in due course. The only thing we can suggest at the moment is whether we can bring it on any earlier. The scheme which Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} is drawing has already run over 10,000 miles on experimental cars in England and is fitted to the 10,000 miles car in France, so that as soon as it is completed it should be able to go on production.
