PHANTOM 111. CHASSIS - FRONT SUSPENSION. In view of the fact that the results obtained with front suspension springs produced by the E.S.C. are considerably better than those supplied by either Salters or Firths, it is considered important that E.S.C. springs are fitted on all production chassis before any are delivered to customers. In view of the above, will ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} please arrange for a supply of springs by ESC. to be obtained as quickly as possible, and let us know if same will be available before any chassis are despatched from the Works. We understand that the Experimental Department have about a dozen of these springs, and suggest that these should be handed over to production. In the event of some chassis having to be despatched with springs produced either by Firths or Salters, will you please let us know how many in order that we may take the matter up with a view to having the necessary changeovers carried out at coachbuilders. We hope, however, that it will be possible to avoid having to do this. We should not order any more of these springs from either Firths or Salters at the present time. BY/Cgh.{W Clough} | ||
