TO [strikethrough]BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}[/strikethrough] FROM AJS. Copy to - HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RN{Mr Robinson}8310AL AJS1/M14.7.25. EAC.7. GEARBOX. 42310 We send you herewith LeC.2110., shewing new positions of cover studs necessitated by modifications to the 'W' series 40/50 gearbox for the above chassis. This drawing also shews the servo worm shaft bearing housing which also requires modifying from that used on 'W' series, owing to the smaller gearbox cover. The scheme of this bearing housing is somewhat similar to one of those shewn on N. scheme 1781., but has had slight modifications owing to the necessity of drilling the locking wire hole with housing nutted up tightly in position.
