You will see on our drawing LeC.2110., that we had schemed an oil filler, the top of which would indicate the oil level in box, but Mr. Royce cancelled this scheme and thinks we might give consideration to placing an oil level cock on the box as we believe was done hitherto, to be used in place of the dipping stick. We believe there was some serious objection to this cock, but are not sure what it was. We should therefore be glad if you could let us have any information you have as to reasons for discarding it.
