V4118 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from EFC. c. to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} c. to Sft.{Mr Swift} for Mr. Brock. X.4430 - CONDENSERS. FROM CHASSIS GA. 70. With reference to BY14/P5.2.24. We have now investigated this condenser and a report of our investigations is attached. Apparently there is nothing wrong with the condenser and it is suggested that there may have been a fault in the earthing connection of the condenser to the distributor case. We have also tested the condenser for faulty internal contacts by placing this on a high frequency radio circuit as described in our EFC2/T11.6.23, and we find no evidence of faulty contact on this test. Regarding the contact breaker lever sent with the condenser. This bore no evidence of any value because the platinum tip had been mercilessly filed fouled away. A new platinum tip will therefore be required. EFC. | ||
