New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I Steering.

Our man has returned from his visit to Paris and San Sebastian, where he has modified the steering on a number of cars, and fitted the new type Side Steering Tube Springs (1500lbs.)

In the case of chassis 36-LC - Marques del Llano de San Javier, this car was unsatisfactory after the changeover had been completed on account of high speed wobbles. High speed wobbles occurred on bad roads in spite of the fact that the front wheels had been balanced.

This car later was driven to Paris where the Side Steering Tube was dismantled, and it was found that the Springs were either broken or fractured, and we are returning these Springs to you for your examination and investigation.

Our man reports that there has been similar trouble in the case of chassis 18-MC - the French Trials car. He brings this report from the Paris Depot.
