Gearbox - continued.

The end clearance in the overdrive bush has increased by .001, and also in the 2nd speed bush by a similar amount.

The servo mechanism stripped remarkably well.

The frame end of the change speed mechanism is very dry and appears to have been badly exposed.

Propeller Shaft.

Produced by Messrs. Hardy Spicer in accordance with LOP.GB.3172 and incorporating PD.40.

The rear universal joint failed after 11,242 miles and the replacement covered a mileage of 6,356. With this exception the general condition is satisfactory.

Radiator and Fittings.

The radiator is slightly damaged due to a collision and has now been returned to the makers. The general condition is quite satisfactory.

Water Connections.

The top and bottom water connections to the radiator produced in moulded rubber are corroded, as will be seen from the attached photographs.

Starting Handle.

This component is satisfactory.

Pedals.

Complete to LOP.FB.3797 and incorporating schemes F.CD.519,600,605,610,615.

This section, including all rubber buffers, bearing bushes, etc. is satisfactory. The plain nuts fitted to the pedal stems are quite tight and castellated nuts would therefore appear unnecessary.
