| -6- It was agreed that Sales officials and all concerned should test this car out most thoroughly so that it will be a good one. Item 4 on Agenda. Bensport, general position. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} stated that he had started to issue details and agreed with Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}'s estimate that about 75% of the design work was completed. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} thought everybody was endeavouring to do their best including W.W., but Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} stated he is still without the gearbox from W.W. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} mentioned that he is of the opinion the "Bensport" should have a servo, but this can be added later if the gearbox is arranged for it; Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} thought we could catch up with the servo later; there is no need to press for one at the moment. It was thought we might have to bring in Roots' type of Supercharger, but E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} said it would be ready if it is required - there is no question of licence involved. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} is anxious to circumvent the Power Plus if possible. Item 8 on Agenda. Licence for Power Plus Blower. Wn16/MITD.8.32. In view of the latter part of the previous Minute this item was not discussed, Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} saying that the conditions of the licence are quite impossible at the moment.
