Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

Your Reference ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/AW.8/IB.

We have located your order No.55296 which, as stated in your 18th February letter, was sent to the Goodyear Tyre & Rubber Export Co.

Unfortunately, we do not have in America nor in this country, equipment that will make Belts of the size which you require. Mr. Wellburn, we believe, has discussed these Belts with you some time ago. He has told us that part E.B.221 is a standard production Belt.

As we are starting to manufacture Belts in this country at the present time, we may be able to handle your requirements later. Will you kindly forward to us copies of the drawings and indicate the number of Belts used annually. Part No.E.X.S.194 is, we understand, an experimental size. If you settle upon this as a standard part, we should like prints and a statement of quantity as requested for the other Belt.

The request for blue prints is made because those which you have sent to America were not returned to us.

Yours faithfully,
THE GOODYEAR TYRE & RUBBER CO. (GT.BRITAIN) LTD.
