X4261 To A.S. From Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Da {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 2/M7.2.22. MADE AT CROYDON GOSHAWK 11. X.4261. X.4263 With reference to your request for a stop on the back shackle for the rear springs to prevent the axle pushing back, Mr. Royce does not think that we should do this. He considers that it is not done by anyone else, and that we ought not to introduce at this stage the extra complication and extra limitations especially in view of the fact that an accident due to this cause seems rather remote.
