-2- I want you to learn what you can from Mr. Salerni's visits, (he asked to be allowed to visit WW. in my absence) but naturally reserve for RR. any points you see that can be altered, until such time as we have some working agreement, because he has asked me if we will join in making this job a success with him, and share some of the results. Now Mr. Salerni may have found that we have a patent for the arrangement of gears, and we are stopping him, (he is a very cute man, trained as a lawyer) but I fear his patent may be in front of ours. Both are so recent that it is perhaps difficult to find out. Will By. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} or Messrs. Claremont Haynes & Co. try to find out, so that we know better how we stand. Kindly let me know as quickly as possible. (Da {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} /Hdy {William Hardy} will perhaps write to me). R. {Sir Henry Royce} | ||
