Please receive herewith the following scheme F.CD.771 Layout showing amount of lift required for D.W.S. Hydraulic Portable Jack. The above scheme shews the amount of lift required at the front and rear of B.3 and 50. The figures shew the worst conditions obtainable viz. the car is fully laden and the tyre is off, and the car resting on the rim. The Bentley 3 car under those conditions would require 14,500 lift at the front and 11.000 at the rear, the adjustable bracket being 2,500 from the end of jack. In order that we may use the 13.625 lift jacks in our possession we suggest the adjustable bracket should be set 3,500 from the end. The Bentley 50 chassis requires 13.800 lift at the front and 11.500 at the rear, the adjustable bracket being 3.700 from the end. The 3.700 dimension we suggest should be 4.000 to use the existing jack. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
