re. PHANTOM II. BONNET LOCKS.

With reference to your HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/AD30.11.29. I shall be pleased to demonstrate the difficulties of the present bonnet lock to you on a finished chassis on test.

This trouble is made more difficult when the cars are complete with body, as the bonnet clips are not then so accessible.

With regard to the locks on 10-EX car, JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} informed me on the telephone yesterday that he had inspected the locks on this car, but could not see any difference.

Can you let me know what is the difference in the construction of these locks, as possibly JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} may not have appreciated this.
