BENTLEY.
5-B-IV. The chassis for the next 15,000 Miles test - is now at the coachbuilders and it is hoped it will be ready very shortly.

The items to be tested are as per Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}15/KW.26.10.34.

One of the points to be fitted is the torsional stabilising bumper bar, with a view to overcoming the front end movement and which, if satisfactory, will be available for dealing with complaints.

Centrally Mounted Radiator. It was decided that we would go on with centrally mounting lamp, wings and radiator to deal with some complaints, independently of moving the engine 3" further forward but, as we must test the bumper scheme, it cannot at the moment be fitted to 5-B-IV.

The question of the smaller dynamo was raised, which saves 5 lbs. but, as it necessitates an alteration to the crankcase, it was considered advisable to defer endeavouring to introduce it until a suitable opportunity occurred.
