Dear Mr. Hives,

As arranged between yourself and our Mr. Rippon, I shall leave London to-morrow by the 4-5 due at Derby 7-8.

If you could spare the time, perhaps you would give me the pleasure of your company at dinner, as that would give us a better opportunity and more time to discuss matters. I should much appreciate this, if convenient to yourself. Failing this, I will call at the Works on Thursday morning.

Yours very truly,

[Signature]

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hives, Esq.
