INDIA - CENTRALISED LUBRICATION.
---------------------------------

I attach hereto copy of DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/M5.5.28.

You will have already received the LsC's in connection with the above proposals which represent all that WW. intend to supply us with. It will therefore be necessary for us to clean up the job ourselves, and where we have no specific scheme from WW. we must model our India design on the Phantom.

In regard to urgency, the position should be somewhat modified, and is as follows :-

1/- 12-EX.
2/- India 3 - Centralised Lubrication.
Two chassis should be instructed under this heading. The special features being :-
(a) New long frame with special cross bracing.
(b) Wheels with 19" rims suitable for 5" tyres.
(c) Special petrol tank and exhaust outlets to suit the small diameter wheel design.
(d) Enots Bijur lubrication as instructed in the latest N. scheme, outlined in DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/M5.5.28.

3/- India 3 chassis for Mr. Royce.
This chassis will be precisely similar to the two referred to above except that it will have our present type Enots lubrication instead of the Enots Bijur.

4/- S.B. (EAC.10) Three chassis will have to be instructed instead of the one called for originally.

From the foregoing you will notice that the centralised lubrication for production India comes immediately after centralised lubrication for 12-EX.

The only work which should proceed the foregoing is that which is demanded for present production requirements, for which the works are waiting.
