Dear Sirs, We recently concluded duration tests on the Continent with a Bentley chassis, fitted with P.100.R. head lamps, total mileage being 18,800. The lamps gave a certain amount of trouble mainly due to certain pieces working loose, and on dismantling the lamp for inspection at the conclusion of the run, it was found that 4 screws in each lamp holding the dipper main bracket to the wiring had broken away immediately under the heads. This was probably due to the mounting being too weak. The dipper on each lamp was in good condition, and we should be glad if you will look into the matter with a view of preventing any further trouble of this nature.
