Hsl/AD26.11.29. contd. -2- (8) Aluminium cylinder head. This is receiving attention. There is no reason why the U.S.A. car should be any different to the Derby car. (9) Chrome finish. This is receiving attention. (10) Automatic radiator shutters. This is receiving attention. (11) Battery. The question of 6-volt or 12-volt system is a debatable point. We see very little reason however, why we should produce cars with 6-volt and 12-volt systems. If U.S.A. can prove that the 6-volt has advantages over the 12-volt, then we ought to change over entirely to the 6-volt system. On the other hand if the 12-volt is the best system, then we consider all cars should be built for 12-volts. If we fit 6-volt to the American car and 12-volt to the Derby car, we should still have to provide services in America for both types because we never know when the Derby car may be used in America. As regards the battery position, whatever is the best position it should be the same for both cars. (12) Tools. This has to be considered in conjunction with the coach work. (13) Lubrication. We propose fitting extra lubrication at starter. We propose lubricating the clutch.coupling from the gear box. We agree with Oy's comments that we | ||
