Identifier  ExFiles\Box 115\5\  scan0004
Date  2nd February 1938

Messrs. Wellworthy Ltd. -4- 2nd. February 1938.

already been supplied with material for 50 bearings which apparently should satisfy their needs.

A.E.C.

We have in hand at the moment two sets of main bearing blanks for A.E.C. Ltd. and we expect to despatch these this week. These are the only bearings supplied by us for use as main bearings and we shall be particularly interested in the results when they are available. A.E.C. intend to harden their shaft up to approximately 600 by the Tocco process.

That about covers the general points about the bearings, and Mr. Hall is writing you in connection with the metal-lurgical side of the job, but should there be any further points you require information on please let us know and we shall be pleased to supply them.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
