Dear Mr. Smith,

Thank you for your letter of the 27th November.

We note that you will be able to let us have your car on the 14th December, and will do everything we can to let you have it back by the following week-end. As, however, we have got to run one or two consumptions to ensure that we have made a cure, and these take some little time, we should like six clear working days on the car.
