A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq., Messrs. Rolls Royce, Limited, Derby. Dear Bill, I have had an amusing letter from Mr. Cowen, who evidently does not understand my mentality towards motoring at all. I am sending you a copy of his letter and my reply. I should imagine his suggestion to put lighter springs on would make it a good deal worse. You may remember that I have already had the front springs changed for stiffer ones, and I think they are still too light, and on a wavey road the car behaves like a 10 h.p. car of 10 years ago. I really think you should come over one day with a Phantom 3, and try it with my car and a Hillman on our new road, which, as you know, is dead straight, but not very smooth. Yours ever, Richard | ||
