| C O P Y. Bentley Motors (1931) Ltd. 16, Conduit Street, LONDON, W. 1. 1st December, 1936. Richard Summers, Esq., C/o Messrs. John Summers & Sons, Ltd., The Hawarden Bridge Steel Works, Shotton, Chester. Dear Mr. Summers, With reference to your recent call, I have been in communication with Mr. Robotham, who tells me that he has not seen you recently, although he tried your car when you first had it and he thought it was up to standard. I do not know whether you feel that you would like to send the car over to Derby at some time when you are not using it as, of course, we shall be very pleased to improve it if there are any means by which the Works feel they can do so; but, of course, you will quite understand that we cannot give you anything to compare with independent springing such as we fit on the Phantom lll. I understand, however, that you do not really drive this car all out and it may be you could do with lighter springs to give you more comfort when you are using the car in the ordinary way. Yours sincerely, (Signed) W. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Cowen. | ||
