| x 229 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.6/KW. 22nd December,1934. Messrs. S. Smith & Sons Ltd., Cricklewood Works, London, N.W.2. Dear Sirs, Oil Pressure Gauge for 20/25 HP. Chassis. We are experimenting with an oversize oil pump on this chassis and find that on starting up from cold, the oil pressure gets up to about 100 lbs/sq.in. We should be glad to know if you consider this is a safe loading for the standard gauges you supply to us; if not what modifications you recommend to avoid the risk of failure. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
