1300 AIR MAIL To: Rob. c. to Tr.{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance} c. to S/SP.{Mr Spinney} c. to Lf. c. to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} BY/SB.{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}1/MG.6.4.39 CHASSIS NO. B.116-MR. Jules Delacroix Confirming our telephone conversation this morning regarding the steering of the above car, we are sending to your address, by Air Mail, a complete new Roller with bolt for the Steering Box. We do not think that you will have any difficulty in changing the roller, since it is being sent out as a complete unit with inner races and bolt, and it is unlikely that the overall width will differ from the present one, and any additional shimming should not be necessary. You understand that there should be some initial nip on the roller, and this should be such that the roller can be rotated smoothly with the thumb and finger. As also pointed out to you, we want this changeover done with the least possible publicity, and the less the Owner knows about it the better. BY/SB.{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister} | ||
