γ 602. To Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} c. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}8/MH.{M. Huckerby}29.4.38. .4 CARBON AXLE TUBES - WRAITH. If, as we understand, it is impossible to obtain S/N axle tubes in time for RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}'s requirements, thenwe agree to ordering 25 sets in .4 carbon steel but also 25 sets in S/N. for delivery as soon as possible so that if further experimental testing proves carbon steel to be unsatisfactory the tubes can later be changed to S/N. If it is not necessary to change the tubes the S/N. can be used up on chassis 50 - 75. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
