I have just been reading through the 10,000 mile report Ref: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}6/JAB.2.11.35. I should be glad to know whether there is anything in it which, in your opinion, should cause us to alter the decision we arrived at the other day, i.e. to introduce the larger bore as soon as possible. I refer in particular to con.rods.

I imagine, however, that the standard bearings on the standard car would have been in worse condition if subjected to a similar test. If this is correct, then there does not seem to be anything to be alarmed about.

I have written to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} about one or two points that appear to refer to design, as per the attached copy.
