-2- (7) PJH. stated he would like to fit new yoke pieces with reduced castor angle. These can be instructed if they can be fitted without holding up the car. (8) Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} stated that four new and old type valve springs would be fitted to the engine unit. (9) The Studebaker damper should be fitted to the engine unit if it eliminates crankshaft periods on the test carried out this week-end. (10) It is imperative that we do not have belt failure during this run. Ed.{J. L. Edwards} is responsible for seeing that pulley angles and belt are correct. (11) We are not satisfied that the water pump bearing is likely to stand up on this test. Ed.{J. L. Edwards} is to have an alternative ready. (12) Waller will see that lamps are fitted suitable for Continental conditions. (13) Child will ensure that a neat wiring layout is fitted to the car. (14) Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} will co-operate with Dodd to ensure that the engine mounting is the best that can be done both with regard to engine movement as it affects front end shake, and engine movement under torque. (15) Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} will ensure that sufficient tyre supplies are available in France. If possible, we should like to run 4-ply Avons against the Dunlops.
