EFC. from Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}7/NJ9.12.25. Re Tungstone Accumulators. Upon receipt of yours EFC5/T4.12.25, we wrote the Tungstone Accumulator Co.Ltd. informing them that we found the information given in their pamphlet and circular interesting and would be glad if they would from time to time keep us posted with regard to the progress they make, especially in respect of life of batteries. We are this morning in receipt of a reply from said firm dated 8th inst. as follows:- "We note your request to be posted in respect to the progress of this accumulator, especially with regard to the life of batteries." "The calculations we have made are that after thousands of cycles of charge and discharge, somewhere about two years after being in use, the battery will arrive at its apex of efficiency, and this is borne out by the experiments which have been made during the past three years." "We appreciate the point you make and are quite happy to wait until this period arrives to report to you, but we suggest that a practical test by yourselves on our battery might give you all the information you want at a very much earlier period."
