V3830 To Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} from EFC. EFC5/T4.12.25. RE TUNGSTONE ACCUMULATORS. Answering your Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}1/NJ1.12.25. The information about the accumulator is certainly very interesting, and it would appear to possess features worthy of investigation. I do not think, however, it would be undesirable to postpone obtaining one of these for the present as in the case of new departures of this kind, we may in the course of a week or so hear reports from other sources. In the cases of accumulators we have tried in the past for which big claims were made, those claims have turned out to be very extravagant and really had we known, it would not have been worth while testing the accumulators - we refer more particularly to De Martis and N.S. types of accumulators. At the same time, our general impression of the present case is that there may be more real foundation for their claims than in the other cases. EFC. | ||
