GEARBOX Confirming our conversation yesterday, we hope that you will be able to obtain the gearbox with the original unlapped first motion shaft bearings, which proved to be noisy on test and then let us have this box to ease the fit of the bearings on the shafts and in their housings. We regard this as an important experiment, as we hope thereby to save the cost of lapping all the bearings. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
