GEARBOX IMPROVEMENTS There are various improvements we want to incorporate for development on Experimental gearboxes. 1. N.Sch.4949 and 4951 are benefits the customer will appreciate. We should like to fit them to 39-EX. when the parts are ready. 2nd. speed cones to be 8° and screw threaded. 2. N.Sch.4895 should help the situation as regards gears coming out of mesh. Please prepare parts and fit to 5.HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} in 33-EX. 3. Three 2nd. motion shafts to N.Sch.4969. 4. The increased ratio gears to be fitted in a new casting on new shafts. The synchro mechanism and actuating gear to be ex. 10.HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} box. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
