Ignition Governor & Drive contd.

4. Governor Arms(Inner) E.58120
These have worn .005" and .003" respectively in centre bushed hole.

5. Governor Arms(Outer) E.50788
The centre bushed hole worn .008" and is elongated to the extent of .031" on both arms.

6. Control Fork E.57916
In good condition, no wear.

7. Floating Bush E.57913
One of these has worn in the bore .0015" but the other is good.

8. Distributor Shaft E.57917
This was stuck and rusted in the driving shaft bore.

9. Taper Pin K.4811
Due to hammering in the elongated hole of the control fork, this is grooved to a depth of .010".

Cross Drive Shaft. RR. Scheme 107

1. Bearing diameters on shaft good.

2. Gear teeth good.

3. Alum. bearings slightly worn in bore.

Water Pump. RR. Scheme 234.

1. Rotor spindle badly scored and worn.

2. The end of rotor spindle has bored into head of thrust screw to a depth of approximately .150". In consequence the rotor has been rubbing hard against the pump cover, wearing away the vanes so that only a portion of the effective area remains.
