say were just Good. Engine gears Very fair all round evidently metal gears, rather inclined to be rattly at slow speeds and to sing at high speeds which is our usual trouble with metal gears. The gear ratio of the axle felt about the same as R.R. actually 3 to 1 therefore a little lower. Clutch was quite good and quite the best oiled-plate clutch I have tried but it has the usual trouble of grabbing when finally engaging. Changing gear Very Good, one is able to change gear roughly without causing much undue noise or knocking of the gears. One can feel the side shaft engagement when changing gear.
