| -2- 13. New complete rear axle 12 x 41 ratio to be prepared - details instructed under code E.372/4. 14. Special Rear spare wheel carrier to arrgt Ex.22387. 15. Radiator cowling to be modified in accordance with RMC's instructions. 16. Lift Front wing stays to clear 19 x 6.50 tyres, and clear local cowling for both max. steering locks. 17. Rear axle buffers to be increased .500 to reduce buffer clearance. 18. Overhaul both front and rear hydraulic shock dampers - max. load on fronts at present insufficient. 19. Change the hand wing nuts on the front Hartford dampers and fit hexagon, fit box spanner to suit. 20. Strengthen the body hinges with plates where possible. 21. Flatten as much as possible the cooling vents for ground clearance. 22. Strengthen and improve hinges and locking position of toggle levers on rear top cover. 23. Adjust bottom head lamps to get max. area through guards in front bottom cowling. 24. Fit strengthened head lamp crossmember to No.4505 25. Wheel mallets to be fastened to seats produce clips for same. 26. Make windshields motor secure. 27. Windscreen brackets to be modified to enable windscreen to be easily removed. 28. Make new instrument board. 29. Hole required in rear undershield to get at petrol tank drain plug ----------------- ENGINE UNIT No. R.21. Special features to be incorporated on the above :- 1. Oil gallery pipe to have joints silver soldered - also abnjo joints on the small copper feed pipes to the main bearings. 2. Tappet cover nuts to be provided with the hexagon for tightening down. 3. 50% increased capacity oil pump, straight sided teeth - arrgt Ex.11953. 4. Special cellulose covered H.T. wires. continued. | ||
