Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Mr.E.R.Hall. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}10/E3.10.34 Referring to our conversation on the telephone to-day you will see that I have settled the question of charges. I spoke to Mr.Hall about taking the car away and using it with the present unit. He is quite agreeable to this and to keep us in touch with it. He asked me about what we proposed to do in the future in regard to racing. I said that we had not settled anything definitely but indicated the line that we had in mind, i.e. building three cars and lending them to approved drivers as a team for approved races. He expressed the view that such a scheme was not likely to be successful if we had to employ amateur drivers as the difficulty would be to control them effectively. It is difficult to explain the ins and outs of the matter in a memo. but I asked him to take an early opportunity of discussing it with you so that we can give the matter consideration. Sg.{Arthur F.
