It must be arranged to accomodate the check seals. The draining of tanks will be carried out on an area specially set aside for the purpose near the replenishment park. Any competitor draining off petrol direct onto the track will incur a fine of Fcs 1.000. Art. 8-N.- The filling of tanks with petrol will be carried out in front of the pits under the supervision of the Steward detailed for each car. The use of funnels for filling tanks is prohibited; funnels, moreover, would merely duplicate the distribution devices. ADDITION OF LUBRICANT IN THE FUEL Art. 8-O.{Mr Oldham} - Competitors will be at liberty to incorporate oil with their fuel. This oil will be provided by the competitor. CREW Art. 9. - There will only be one man on board each car, but two drivers will be officially appointed for each car entered. They can relieve one another as they choose but exclusively at the pit when the car is stopped and the engine is likewise stopped. No substitute driver shall be allowed in addition to the two drivers hereinabove provided for, except in the case of an objection as provided hereinbelow : In accordance with article 138 of the A.I.A.C.R. sporting code the race Stewards may, in case of need, prevent a driver from taking part in the event, either at the time of the start or during the race. Each of the two drivers shall have the right to the help of one assistant, and one only, at the pits under the conditions set out in article 52, said assistant being the same person throughout the race. This pit assistant must be nominated at the time of weighing in and the competitor must, at that time, indicate his name and capacity. Under the conditions set out in the special provisions for re-fuelling (article 8 each of the two drivers shall also be allowed the assistance of a fuel attendant who must not effect any other work on the car than that for which he is appointed. The same pit assistant may be appointed to attend to several cars; the same applies to the fuel attendant. On the other hand, failing a fuel attendant, refuelling may be carried out either by the pit assistant or by one or the other of the drivers of the car as this intervention does not entail the obligation of the driver covering at least one lap of the circuit as provided in article 42. But a driver may act as fuel attendant only for the one car of which he is a pilot. Throughout the duration of the race a first and second driver will be appointed. Each must wear a coloured armlet as specified below : Ist. driver : yellow armlet. 2nd. driver : blue armlet. ... | ||
