E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. - HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 'V' SERIES STEERING WORM. Fx430 We send herewith N. scheme 1969. shewing the proposed whitemetal lined steering nut giving a steering ratio which is approximately that of the Hispano and is lower than the present 'V' series. It will be seen that we find difficulty in carrying the whitemetal around the valleys in the nut thread because of the metal behind the cheeses, but we think that the interrupted lining as shewn should do all that is required.
