ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To Order No. Customer's No. 2 19 A preliminary test with 100 volts d.c. applied through a voltmeter showed that there was no connection between the a.c. side and any other part of the equipment. The apparatus was then connected up for charging, a single cell of the reservoir battery being put on the d.c. wires. Both resistances, which have Edison screw-caps, were in place and the swivelling link connected for full output, (rated at 6.0 amperes.) On switching on the a.c. (50~) there was a delay of a few seconds until the valve filament heated up. Then after several bright flashes had (Cont'd) Signed This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work.
